Spring Fever: The psychological symptoms associated with the arrival spring; often in the form of an increase in energy, restless behavior, wanting to be outdoors, and dreams of traveling to Wisconsin. Fine... that may not be the official definition of spring fever, but it sure is accurate. Release your spring fever this month in Wisconsin by enjoying some tasty morel morsels at the Morel Mushroom Festival in Muscoda. Next weekend is Labor Day, so do your part and support a good cause by eating a brat at the World’s Largest Bratfest in Madison. All profits go to local charities. Mark your calendar for State Parks Open House Day, National Trails Day, Free Fishing weekend and Free ATVing weekend (June 1-2). These events are the best way to enjoy Wisconsin’s state parks and recreation areas for free without a trail pass or license.
Spring on,

Wine not? Wisconsin Wine Tours
Drawing a blanc on weekend plans? Try a Wisconsin wine tour. Our state is home to more than 800 acres of grapes and more than 50 wineries across the state that offer tours and tastings. Check out the Door County Wine Trail, or Wisconsin’s newest winery, Dancing Dragonfly, which opens June 8. Grab a friend that you pair well with, and visit some fun events like von Stiehl’s Ladies Fest, where you’ll enjoy wine tastings, live music, chocolate and even massages. Wisconsin wineries pride themselves on using locally produced and seasonal fruits, which make for delicious summer wines ripe for the tasting. Cheers! Read more >

Zippity Do-Da
If you’re looking for a rush, but jumping out of an airplane just doesn’t seem like your cup of tea, try zip lining. This popular activity is literally taking off in Wisconsin and there are dozens of places to take the plunge off the platform and into the air. In southwestern Wisconsin, try Lake Geneva Canopy Tours, which offers zips reaching up to 600 feet and spectacular views of Lake Como. In the Wisconsin Dells, you’ll find BigFoot Zipline Tours, Wilderness Canyon and Vertical Illusions, all equally thrilling and extremely fun, key word here being extreme. Read more >
